Dear Members of the Lung Cancer Community,

For the past several weeks, we have been closely monitoring the developments and impact around the increased spread of the coronavirus. We want each member of our community to know that your health and well-being is uppermost in our minds and hearts and we are adapting our work to support your needs.

Because our community members are considered high-risk related to this virus we are doing the following:

(1) We will be hosting a special Virtual Living Room on March 17 with experts speaking about the coronavirus and what it means for our community. Following CDC guidelines to minimize exposures, we will NOT be hosting a live audience in our San Carlos, CA office for this episode.

(2) Our HelpLine and support services remain open and ready to respond to your questions, provide helpful information, and lend support. You are not alone!

(3) Some of our events and meetings are being cancelled or postponed in light of CDC guidelines to not host large events where there is potential for increased exposure.

The following events are cancelled:
-Gainesville Walk/Run in Florida on March 14
-Jog for Jill Walk/Run in Berkeley, CA on March 15

The following events are postponed:
-Lucky for Lungs Poker Tournament in Georgia on March 14
-Sacramento Walk/Run in California on March 28
-Lung Cancer Voices Summit in Washington, D.C. on June 15-16

More information on postponed events will be forthcoming but please visit our website for the events calendar and Voices Summit for changes in event status.

(4) We will continue to keep our community apprised through blog posts with the latest recommendations coming forward from the CDC.

Please know that no matter what situation might arise we have your best interests at heart. Whatever it takes. Whatever the need. We get it done together.

Sincerely,
