Even if you aren’t a caregiver or a patient, spreading awareness of lung cancer is a cause we should all share in. Let’s do the world a favor and share our support for this community by showing others how they can help raise awareness of lung cancer. Perhaps the staggering number of 14% of all cancer diagnoses being lung cancer is a motivator for raising awareness.
I really appreciate your tips to shine a light on cancer. My aunt was recently diagnosed with cancer and is trying to find ways to live past it. I’m thinking of recommending she join an online community to find others with whom she can commiserate.
Hi Johnny, joining online communities is a great way for those living with lung cancer to connect with others, while finding hope, inspiration, and more. I would encourage your aunt to follow us on social media as as often feature Survivor Spotlight stories, advice, events, and more. We’ve also recently joined Belong, the world’s largest online cancer community. Learn more about Belong here.
If you or your aunt ever have questions or just need someone to talk to, please reach out to our HelpLine at 800-298-2436 or support@go2.org. Sending positive vibes your way.
Really appreciate this post. It’s hard to sort the good from the bad sometimes, but I think you’ve nailed it!
